Hi! My name is Lexi Stemming and I am honored to represent Phi Mu at FSU as Chapter President. This place that I am so lucky to call my home has pushed me to be the confident woman I am today. The love that we show each other daily is like nothing I have ever experienced. Having the best day ever? Phi Mu will be sure to celebrate. Was today just not your day? Phi Mu will give you the warmest hug. That is who we are and why this sisterhood is so special.

I always look forward to our big philanthropy events, date functions and sisterhood events, however at Phi Mu it’s the little moments in between that mean the most. No matter what, our daily debriefs and the ability to see my sisters on even the busiest of days keeps me motivated. Living in the house has especially brought this to a whole new level and I’m so lucky to live with 40 of my best friends. Playing music while we all get ready to go to football games will always be a core memory of mine as a Phi Mu.

Phi Mu encompasses more than just sisterhood, but an environment that fosters growth as a woman and a future leader. We constantly are pushing each other to find new ways to get involved on campus, attend study hours to maintain our GPA, and there is a great deal of professional development and connection that comes with our membership. Through Phi Mu I have gotten internships, access to scholarships, and access to honor societies. I know that my sisters will be there for me now and after graduation, not only as a friend but as a resource to help me grow.

The reason why I stay constantly changes, but this sisterhood truly has changed my life for the best, and I am a better leader and woman because of the Phi Mu Alpha Epsilon chapter. Sisterhood in Phi Mu proves daily that being present, showing love, and leading with kindness will make someone’s day a little brighter. I will continue to strive to lead this sisterhood to create a positive narrative for any new member who walks through our front doors.
